Assign Tables to Clusters

Step type: Simple user interface.

Step description: This step distributes the active tables into DTS clusters based on the table size calculated in the step Count entries of database tables. Typically, only one DTS cluster table is used. Using more cluster tables improves the data processing performance for bigger systems.

Detailed functions: The following parameters are available:

  • Tables: Allows you to restrict the list of processed tables.

  • Max. table size per cluster (GB): Specifies the maximum volume of data in one cluster table

NOTE If a table size is more than the entered size, it is stored in its own cluster table. There is a limit of 100 different cluster tables.
  • Test: Simulates the distribution of the tables.
